RIP Tobey

Please don't forget to enter Aveeno Gold Metal Worthy Giveaway. It ends August 11, 2012 at 11:59 p.m. EST (Eastern time).

Sorry I have been gone for couple of weeks! I went through a hard, personal time of a roller coaster of emotions. I debated if I wanted to dedicate a post on Tobey. I realized he's been with me since the beginning of this blog, and even though he's not with me, I still want to keep a part of him on this blog. I will keep the Tobey's Paws in remembrance of him.

I do not want to get into details of his passing, and please don't ask me. If you really care about him or me, as a friend/reader you will just be by my side and support me. I want to dedicate this post on the happy times I had with Tobey. He was my joy, laughter, my younger brother (he's actually my dad's dog), my baby, and my best friend (he would just listen and never talk back).

Now in remembrance of Tobey...
When I first learned how to make amigurumi dolls, without a doubt I wanted to make one of Tobey. Here's Tobey modelling with Tobster. I have Tobster on a self in my room.
He really was a great model! Here's him with one of the scarves I made for myself. It looked great with his black fur.
I actually reviewed this pet bed on my blog. While I was taking pictures of the bed, Tobey kept standing on it. He's such a rascal which I loved about him! He added excitement in my life. :)
We had a pipe burst in our backyard and my dad had to replace the whole pipes with new ones. After replacing the pipes, he applied the cement. Tobey would step on the cement every time my dad did a certain amount. My dad had to cover the cement while doing it. He did not want Tobey to step and leave a mark. My dad was so proud of himself because there was no way he can knock down the protection. We had to let it dry overnight. The next morning my dad woke up and none of the protection was knocked over. We were in shock when we took the covering down to find Tobey's paw prints! He left a mark on earth and on our backyard. :)
Here's his reaction after being scold for his naughtiness. His cuteness won over his naughtiness, because we started laughing.
I hardly post a picture of myself on this blog, because I want to stay anonymous in some ways. I'm ending this post with my favorite picture of Tobey and I.

I love you Tobey so much! You truly will be missed!!!

Beauty Box 5

For the past year, I noticed an increase in beauty sampling monthly subscriptions. Let me introduce Beauty Box 5.
It's not well known, but I think it calls for attention! I was lucky enough to receive July, I'm guessing but not 100% sure, Beauty Box 5. Before I show you what I received, let me describe the company.
The website mentioned the subscription beautifully. For that reason, I decided to past the 411.
Here's how the membership works. $12 a month is actually not bad considering the samples they give you are decent size, as well as, well-known brands.
* Monthly = $12
* Quarterly = $30, save $6 from monthly subscription
* Yearly = $100, save $44 from monthly subscription & save $20 from quarterly subscription
If you want to save money, you can definitely get quarterly or yearly. Pretty decent price I must say!

I also want to mention how beautifully the website is, blue and brown. Just gorgeous!!! :) You can also follow their Facebook and Twitter.

Now for my July Beauty Box 5...
It comes in a blue, Tiffany color, box matching their website.
This is what it looks like when you open the package.
The samples come in a cute bag with the information of the samples you received.
Here's a picture of the cute bag with the samples. I also used the brown wrinkly paper it came with. I thought it would make a great background.
I received...
* Comodynes Easy Peeling - Eliminate dead cells, deep clean pores and leave your skin feeling soft, smooth and renewed with these double-duty exfoliating towelettes. Retail: $12.99
* Blum Naturals Oil Absorbing Facial Tissues - Keep shiny summer skin at baby (and leave your makeup in tact) with these powder-free, oil-absorbing facial tissues. Retail: $2.99
Note: By the way, they gave me the full size.
* Blinc Eyeliner in Black - Summer just got a little better with this water resistant, no-smudge, easy-to-remove eyeliner that won't run or flake. Retail $26
* Everyday Minerals Blush in Girl Friday - These mineral-based blushes add the perfect natural kiss of color for that fresh-faced, feminine summer look. Retail: $10.99
* The All Natural Face Vegan Mineral Eyeshadow in Orange Ice Storm - Use these versatile, non-irritating, vegan, mineral eye shadows wet or dry to accent your beautiful eyes. Retail: $3.50

I'm going to review each product thoroughly in future posts. So stay tuned...

Thank you Beauty Box 5!!!

June Favorites and Finished Products, and Senna Brow Shaper Duo Winners

June Favorites
LacVert Everyday Sun Block: This is my second tube I'm going through. That should tell you how much I love this sunblock! Whenever a family member goes to Korea, I ask them to bring back sunblock for me. Since I have sensitivity to certain chemicals in American sunscreens, I try to avoid getting sunscreen from here. I'm allergic to oxybenzone, avobenzone, or both. I'm scared to experiment to see which chemical I'm allergic too. :X For that reason, I just get Korean sunscreens because I know they don't use any of the benzone family chemicals in their products. Plus Korean sunscreens just absorbs into your skin, whereas, Americans just seems to be layered on top of the skin.

MAC SlimShine Lipstick in Bare: It's such a shame they don't make SlimShine Lipsticks anymore! They're shiny, pigmented, and just plain gorgeous. Bare has to be my favorite color and I wear it pretty often. It just goes with everything I wear and put on my face.

Senna Brow Shaper Duo in Ebony Duo: I've been using this since I got this. I haven't even touched the other eyebrow product I have! I wrote a thorough review on this product so feel free to check it out.

Reviva Labs Alpha Lipoic Acid, Vitamin C Ester, & DMAE Cream: This cream is extremely moisturizing, as well as, gives me a better looking skin. I love how my skin looks in the morning after waking up! I also wrote a thorough review on this product.

Caviar Beads: This is only three of the ten I have. :X I will show you a do it yourself tutorial on caviar nails. I'm testing them out as I speak. So far I'm loving the one I have! :)

June Finished Products
Bath & Body Works Cucumber Melon Body Cream: It's the travel sized one, and I believe an old packaging. :X I have a lot of travel sized lotion/cream around. I use them one at a time. When I finish one travel sized lotion/cream, I throw a new one either in my bag or car. I use them whenever I have a chance too. For that reason, I don't run out fast. Since most of the scents at Bath & Body Works are fruity, I do not worry about scent. I tend to love most of them. I definitely prefer this one then the body lotion. It's more thicker and hydrating for my dry skin.

Would repurchase: Yes!

L'occitane Almond Delicious Paste: I actually liked the product in the beginning, as well as, around the middle. You can read my review on this product. Towards the end I started changing my mind. I noticed the consistency towards the end started getting gooey and it smelled bad. Another thing that started bothering me is seeing the pieces of almonds in the tub. Even in the beginning, I saw the almond pieces but it did not bother me. I just had to extra clean my tub that's all. After awhile, I felt like I spent more time in the tub cleaning than I should have. :X

Would repurchase: No.

This time from Reviva Labs I'm going to review their cream. I already reviewed Reviva Labs Stem Cell Booster Serum and Reviva Labs Makeup Primer. I've had great experiences with both products! I honestly suggest you read my reviews, as well as, try their products. I went from not even knowing this brand to loving them! Now for my review...
