My friend introduced me to Deborah Lippmann's Mermaid Collection. I don't own any of Deborah Lippmann's nail polishes, but I got curious about their Deborah Lippmann's nail polish in Mermaid's Dream. By searching online, I ended up finding out there are several dupes of this nail polish. Unfortunately, I don't have the money to buy the original nail polish but I did get one of the dupes.

Thoughts: Before I talk about the nail polish, I do not own Deborah Lippmann's nail polish in Mermaid's Dream and I cannot compare something I don't have. I will talk about Love, Charlotte nail polish only.
Here's a closer look at the nail polish. It is true to color!
The brush is on the thin side compared to OPI medium-width.
This is 2 coats of nail polish and Seche Vite Top Coat. It's a very gorgeous duo-chrome color. In certain angles you will see more a bluish as in above. In other angles, it'll look more mint-ish. When I bought the nail polish, I did not expect it to be metallic. I noticed after I applied the nail polish.

Now for my overall opinion... First of all, the consistency of the polish is very thin. It reminds me of the old Wet 'n Wild nail polishes I wore as a child. With that saying, I can feel the thinness on my nails compared to medium consistency. Even though it's very thin, 2 coats of nail polish gave the pigmentation shown above. It's opaque but I wouldn't say completely pigmented. It's pretty decent enough. There were no bubbles but I did notice streaking. It's not noticeable unless you see up close. In my opinion if the polish wasn't duo-chrome, the streaking would be more noticeable. Since it's duo-chrome, it hides the imperfections. Knowing how thin the polish is, the lasting power was 4 days. The weird thing is it actually chips in the center of the nails. I have never seen that from any polishes. It's my first! Finally, I love how fine/small the glitters are. It made it easy to remove.

Pros:
* Cheaper version of Deborah Lippmann's Mermaid Dream.
* Easy to apply.
* No bubbles.
* Pigmented.
* Duo-chrome; hides imperfections.
* Small/fine glitters; easy to remove.

Cons:
* Thin consistency.
* Streaking.
* Chips at the tip and center of the nails.
* Lasted 4 days before chipping.

Would repurchase: No.
Rating:  2.5/5 Tobey's Paws
