January Favorites and Finished Products 2018

Here's the first favorites and empties for 2018!

January Favorites

The Body Shop Velvet Moisture Body Cream in Japanese Camellia Cream: I bought this during The Makeup Show LA 2017. Out of the collection, this body cream was the thickest. I thought it would suit me during this dry, winter weather. Even though it's not cold here, the weather is still dry. I have a lot of dry spots and it has been hydrating my dry body. It might be too thick for some people but it's great for dry skin individuals like myself. Also if you're sensitive to smell, this is on the light side. It's not overwhelming at all.

Mario Badescu Facial Spray With Aloe, Cucumber and Green Tea: I bought this and glad. I've been using this in daily basis. It's one of those products that I mention every month especially during this dry, winter weather. Last month, January 2018, I've been really sick with the flu and this has been helping my super duper dry skin. It has calm my redness and made my face feel more alert.

Maple Holistics Opulence Luxury Eye Cream: I received this product and glad. I stopped using it for awhile to use another eye cream that I finished. Then I came back and I noticed the big difference. To be honest when I first used this product, I thought it was good but that was about it. The last eye gel I used did not do much for my eyes. It didn't feel hydrated, and I noticed fine and thick lines. This particular eye cream have taken away the fine and lessen the thicker lines.

Too Faced Chocolate Gold Eye Shadow Palette: I bought this palette after hearing great reviews. I'm glad I did. I really like the palette. The colors are in my range, it's shiny, metallic, long lasting, and just pretty. Also, the smell isn't overbearing like their other chocolate collections.

NIVEA Lip Butter in Raspberry Rose Kiss: I bought this product. This is another product I stopped using for another. Now that I'm back to this product, I love it. My lips were chapped last month, January 2018, from the flu. No matter how much I apply lip balm, my lips just wouldn't improve. This was the only lip product that helped during my flu.

Finished Products
The Body Shop Oils of Life Intensely Revitalising Eye Cream-Gel: I received this product. To be honest, I think this is better for normal to oily skin individuals. For my dry skin, it didn't do much. It just calmed it. I saw wrinkles that I didn't know I had. It's also great for  younger generations who have no wrinkles whatsoever.

Would repurchase: No.

Jesse's Girl Dial-A-Lash Mascara in Midnight Black: I received this product. It's a good mascara but I think it'll be better for non-Asian lashes. Since we have flat eyeballs, the wand kind of picks at the skin. Other than that, it's a good mascara. It gives me volume and length.

Would repurchase: Maybe.

Nature Nut Moisturizing Body Lotion: I received this product. It's a good body lotion. It'll be great for all skin types. Even though I have dry skin, it actually helped me during this dry winter weather and even through my flu. I'm pretty impressed! The smell, on the other hand, is on the musky side but you get used to it or at least I did.

Would repurchase: Yes.

Victoria's Secret Ultra-Moisturizing Hand and Body Cream in Love Spell: I bought a set of these lotions after my co-worker told me they improved. I don't think they have. I just don't think it's moisturizing for my dry skin. I think it's made more for normal to oily skin individuals. Out of all the scents from Victoria's Secret, this is my favorite.

Would repurchase: No.

ScentBird Hand Cream in Cucumber & Lotus: I received this product. Out of all the scents, this was my favorite. It's also my co-worker's favorite. She ended up purchasing one because I used it all the time at work. I'm sadden to say goodbye to this particular scent. It smells so good! Not only that, it's hydrating.

Would repurchase: Yes.

Formula X Prime Xcel Base Coat: I received this product. To be honest, I'm sadden to say goodbye to this product. It's a great product. It had that sticky residue that helps the polish adhere to the base coat and make it last longer. Not only that, it helped my nails not get yellow.

Would repurchase: Yes.

Beauty Secrets Acetone Nail Polish Remover: This is one of the constant remover I buy from Sally Beauty. Not only is it long-lasting since the bottle is big, it works. I haven't found any remover that does better than this product.

Would repurchase: Yes.
